KICK-OFF MEETING FOR THE PROJECT “DEVELOPMENT OF VOCATIONAL AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS IN LINE WITH THE LABOUR MARKET NEEDS”

On 27th August 2019, a kick-off meeting for the project “Development of vocational and educational qualifications in line with labour market needs” was held at the premises of the Ministry of Finance, Directorate for Financing and Contracting of the EU Assistance Funds. The project was funded by the Sectoral Operational Program for Employment, Education and Social Policy 2015-2017 under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II) and will last for 24 months, i.e. until August 2021.

Overall objective of this project is the modernization of vocational education and training and for equipping learners with the knowledge and skills required for lifelong learning and future employment.

Purpose of this project is:

- To support the development and implementation of modularized and learning outcome-based vocational curricula based on new occupational and qualification standards;

- To improve the competences of VET teachers and in-company trainers in vocational and practical education; 

- To improve student-centred learning and practical teaching and learning.


The contract was signed with Particip GmbH from Germany, in consortium with INBAS GmbH from Germany. The total value of the contract is EUR 441,200.00, of which EU funding is 85% and national co-financing 15%. The project will be implemented through indirect management of EU funds in Montenegro, where the Directorate for Financing and Contracting of EU Assistance of the Ministry of Finance is the Contracting Authority.

 
The kick-off meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and the Center for Vocational Education. The key experts who will be involved in the implementation of the said project had the opportunity to present the planned project activities in more detail and work plan for the next period was discussed.
