Damir Rašketić - State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance

Damir Rašketić was born in Bar, on 21st March 1978, where he finished elementary school and Gymnasium. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica, with the average grade 8,17, the topic “Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Finance”. He is currently preparing a Master’s Degree thesis “Bureaucracy, Politicians in the Public Election Theory”.

In the period from 2000 – 2007, he performed duties of a Programme Coordinator and a Financial Director in the Center for Democratic Transition. From 2004 – 2007, he was a Professor of Economic Group of Subjects in PI Secondary School for Economics – Hotels Industry in Bar, and from 2007 – 2009, he served as a Financial Director of the Public Enterprise “Vodovod“ Bar. From August 2009, he serves as a State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance of Montenegro.

He was engaged in numerous Projects, such as: Civil Referendum Monitoring in Montenegro, "Parliamentary Programme" ("Open Parliament"), Civil Referendum Monitoring in Montenegro, from 2001 to 2006 MAP / ORT (Public Representativeness Programme in Montenegro), Action aimed at returning weapons in Montenegro "Return Weapons - Save Lives!”, “Healthy Society Reforms”, “Civil Elections Monitoring in Serbia, Civil Local Elections Monitoring in Bosnia and Herzegovina, "Days of Liberalism in Montenegro”, Economic Faculty, Podgorica, engaged in the development of the first Economic Outlook “InfoMont“, etc.

He completed numerous trainings in democracy and politics.

He is fluent in English language.
