Tijana Stanković was born on 13th January 1977, in Pljevlja. She finished elementary school and Gymnasium in Podgorica. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics in 1999, course “Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Finances“. She completed postgraduate studies “Entrepreneurial Economy” in 2002, and she obtained a Master’s Degree in 2004, the topic “Pension System Capitalization”.
In the period from July 1999 to March 2001, she work as an associate of the Vice President of the Privatization Council. Simultaneously she initiated working in the Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognoses, where she worked up to 2006, first as a researcher, and than as an analyst for the area of inflation and pension reforms. She worked as a Team Leader on the World Bank’s Project in the area of introducing the system of private pension savings in Montenegro, where she spent 15 months in the period from 2005 - 2006.
In the period from November 2006 to March 2011, she served as an advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government for Economic Policy and Financial System. During her term of office she coordinated and took part in numerous development projects, as well as in the development of system laws. In April 2011, she was appointed Deputy Finance Minster for Economic Policy and Development.
She is a member of a special teams of UNECE for Public Private Partnership and Innovations and Competitiveness, Economic – Trade Intergovernmental Committee of Montenegro and the NR of China and Economists Association of Montenegro.
She took part in a numerous conferences, scientific conferences, study visits, and she completed the following special courses: Training in the Energy System Regulation Area, Pension Administration Reforms, Price Analysis, Econometrics in E-views, Public Finances and Public Choice, Summer School G-17 on Labor Market and she is licensed broker and privatization funds regulator.
She is an author of 16 scientific working papers being published nationally and internationally related to the economic policy, pension system and macroeconomic trends topics.
She is fluent in the English language.
Married to Dragan and has a daughter Tara and a son Nikita.
