Marija Radenović – Spokesperson
Marija Radenović was born on 12th January 1978, in Nikšić, where she finished elementary and Gymnasium. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro in 2001, course “Management”.
In the period 2001 – 2007, she served as an advisor in the Ministry of Tourism in the Department for Tourism Development.
While working in the Ministry of Tourism, she worked on numerous projects related to the implementation of the Tourism Development Master Plan and the tourism offer quality improvement, such as the following: Tourist signalization, tourist sites categorization, Improvement of beaches and marinas (Blue Flag Campaign); she took part in the work of the Tourism Council and the Coordination body for the preparation and monitoring of tourist seasons, Commission for allocation of funds to NGO’s, she was a contact point of the Ministry of Tourism for the international donor organizations, etc. Furthermore, she was a coordinator of activities aimed at introducing TSA (Tourism Satellite Account) a statistical instrument used for measuring the effect of tourism on the economy.
Within the implementation of the aforementioned projects, she cooperated with numerous institutions such as the following: WTTC (World Travel & Tourism Council), UN WTO (World Tourism Organization), UNDP, GTZ, Central Bank of Montenegro, MONSTAT, etc.
In the period from 2005 – 2006, she resided in the Federal Republic of Germany, within the professional capacity building in the area of local and the regional development having received the scholarship from BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany).
In the period from 2007 – 2010, she lived in the Federal Republic of Germany, as apprentice in a Tourist agency specialized for South East Europe.
She took part in a number of international conferences, seminars and summer schools.
She is fluent in English and German language.
Married and has two daughters.
