Ana
Krsmanović was born on 13th November 1975, in Nikšić, where she
finished elementary and high school. She graduated from the Faculty of
Economics at the University of Montenegro in 1999, course “Entrepreneurship”.
At the same Faculty, in the period from 2000 – 2002 she completed postgraduate
studies and obtained a Master’s Degree in 2007, the topic “Labor Market Regulatory
Impact on (Un)Employment, with the Special Emphasis on Montenegro”.
Following
graduation she worked in the Republic Secretariat for Development, as an intern,
and after the internship period she worked in the National Agency for Development
of Small and Medium – Sized Enterprises. From July 2001, she worked in the
Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognosis, first as a researcher, than as
an analyst and senior analyst. From March 2009, she served as an Independent
Advisor in the Ministry of Finance in the Department for Structural Reforms,
Accounting and Auditing.
In
June 2011, she was appointed Acting Deputy Minister for Central Harmonization
of Public Internal Financial Management and Control and Internal Audit.
She
worked as a consultant for the World Bank, UNDP, USAID Economic Reforms
Project, European Commission and Transparency International. She is an author
of numerous scientific, research and working papers in the area of labor
market, social policy, etc. She took part in the implementation and development
of over 30 national and international projects, as well as several professional
conferences and study visits organized both in the country and the abroad
related to the labor market, macroeconomic policy and economic development.
